The location of this charming hotel is simply breathtaking, nestled in a picturesque valley surrounded by rocky outcrops. the village itself is immaculately tidy and the little church is a must-see gem. the hotel offers a fully equipped kitchen area in the room, which was a convenient option for self-catering. the simple yet delicious breakfast and dinner menus, with different options each day, were included and added to our enjoyable experience.
The room we stayed in was a bit small and the bed was not very comfortable. the access to the first floor was via a two-flight wooden staircase with slippery treads and no handrail, making it unsuitable for guests with mobility issues.

For the price we paid, we got great value. The room was spacious and had a nice kitchenette. The location of the hotel in a rural village was enchanting, with beautiful surroundings and a charming Romanesque church. The staff, Javier and Isabel, were friendly and knowledgeable about the area, making our stay even more enjoyable.
The breakfast option could have been better with more variety.

The rooms at Hotel Rural La Gándara are incredibly cozy and comfortable, with premium bedding that made me feel like I was sleeping on a cloud. As a backpacker, this level of comfort was a much-needed retreat.
Personally, I wished there were more bathroom amenities such as a hairdryer. However, I understand that this is a subjective preference and that others may not find it as crucial to their stay.

The location of the property is simply breathtaking, with the picturesque Alto Campoo Ski Resort just a short drive away. We spent a day exploring the slopes and enjoying the snow, creating memories that our children will cherish for years to come. The warm and cozy atmosphere of the hotel made us feel right at home, and the small but well-equipped kitchenette in our room allowed us to prepare meals together, adding to the family bonding experience. it was a perfect family retreat that provided us with a much-needed break from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
For parents seeking a place to entertain their children, it would be great to have more on-site recreational facilities, such as a playground or an indoor activity area.
